Things were different back when the five members of City Kidd burst on the
scene. It was an odd time in rock and roll. Bands were asked to dress up, wear
make-up and release albums full of music that could never be replicated live.
From day on Tesla stood apart from the crowd. It's always been about blue
jeans, t-shirts and authentic rock and roll. There have been some fantastic
light shows and striking stages, but those things have never been more important
than the music.
Integrity, that's what that's called. And, that's why after 16 years, six
albums and somewhere around 14 million albums sold, the band is as alive as
ever.
This California group was named after famous inventor Nikola Tesla and
proponents of working-class rock and roll is headlining stages on their Electric
Summer Jam Tour.
